uHow do I access Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) Portal?

DSO Portal is at www.dso.ae.  You can access it from anywhere in the world using an internet browser such as Internet Explorer.

uWho can log in and use the eServices at Silicon Oasis (DSO) Portal?

All companies registered with Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), referred to DSO Customer, is entitled to use the DSO Portal to obtain services from DSOA.

uHow can a DSO Customer apply for a User ID and Password to access DSO Portal?

Please contact DSO Client Management team at cmc@dso.ae, tel. 04 501 5500.  There is a form that needs to be completed by the company for obtaining access to the portal.

Upon completion and approval of the form by customer, the User ID and Password will be sent to the customer by e-mail.

uCan a Customer have more than one User ID to access the DSO Portal?

Yes.  However, for each employee who is required access, a separate form has to be completed.

uWhat are the eServices available at DSO Portal for DSO customers?

Request for visas, letters etc. from Government Services

Premium Facility & Other Services

Request for paid services: Cleaning and Security

Book Meeting Room

Reserve a DSO meeting room

RR Pay Online

After confirmation of reservation by DSO Client Management, make payment for meeting room

Property Developer Services

Services related to proper developers such as Building permits, preliminary design etc.

IT Services

Request for new IT services, or cancellation of IT services (will be available latest by April 2010)

 

uWhat benefits do I get by using eServices?

You will be applying for services you require online at www.dso.ae.  You do not have to be present in DSO.

You do not have to visit the DSOA departments unless there is a specific requirement to handover or collect documents.

uWhat are the payment options available?

Payment option 1: Online payment by credit card (this facility will be available by April 2010.  DSO is in agreement with Dubai E-Government for availing their online payment gateway)

Payment option 2: Deduct from Deposit

Payment option 3: Cash payment

uCan I track my requests?

Of course, you can.  You will track all your requests online by a unique Service Request (SR) ID that is created as you make a request for a service.

uAre my transactions through DSO Portal safe?

Security of transactions is our top priorities and we have set up the IT infrastructure to cater to this need.

 

DSOA is using state of the art security components to ensure the highest confidentiality, integrity and availability of your data

 

For Credit Card payments, we have used a secure payment gateway.

uIs Customers’ data safe and secure with DSOA?

Security of customer’s data is guaranteed.  DSOA’s IT infrastructure is certified to ISO 27001:2005 Information Security standard.  DSOA is using state of the art security components and infrastructure to ensure the highest confidentiality, integrity and availability of your data.

uCan a Customer advertise in DSO Portal?

Yes, of course.  Please contact DSOA’s IT Helpdesk, IT_Helpdesk@dso.ae to obtain further information.

uHow can Customers manage their requirements if and when the DSO Portal is not available?

We have taken all possible measures to ensure availability of services round the clock.  If there are any planned shutdowns of services, they will be communicated to customers at least 24 hours in advance.

 

DSOA has implemented a highly redundant system that will maximize availability.  However, if there is any unexpected major failure, customers can apply for services they require at the Government Services Department at DSO.

 

tIs the User ID Upper case or Lower Case (Capital letters or Simple letters)?

Any case is acceptable

tHow to reset the password?

After first login, click Change Password link on top-right corner of the window.

tCan the password contain Upper case or Lower case?

Yes. Any case can be used to create a password

tError messages at Login

Message: Invalid Password – You have entered a wrong password

 

Message: Services not assigned – Roles and Responsibilities are not specified.  Please contact IT_Helpdesk@dso.ae for reporting this error message.

 

Message: User ID not available - User ID is not created in the system – Please contact IT_Helpdesk@dso.ae if this message appears after you have submitted duly approved form to DSO Client Management and received Login and Password from IT Security.
