Residence Visas For Family Members

When you are employed in a company registered with Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, you are entitled to sponsor your family (spouse and children) for residence within the UAE. They can enter the country on a visit visa and then subsequently obtain residence visas, or they can enter directly on a residence visa.

The application for a residence entry visa can be made by the person who sponsors the family. The residence visa is valid for a period of three (3) years and is renewable thereafter. You are entitled to sponsor your family should your monthly salary be equal to or greater than AED 4,000.

Category 1

The spouse to be sponsored for residence is currently outside the UAE.

Category 2

The spouse to be sponsored for residence is currently in the UAE:

  • With a visit visa
  • Within the 30 day grace period for a cancelled employment visa
  • A member of one of the 34 countries that are entitled to receive a visa on arrival in the UAE

Category 3

The child below 18 years to be sponsored for residence is currently outside the UAE.

Category 4

The child below 18 years to be sponsored for residence is currently in the UAE.

  • With a visit visa, or the child is born in the UAE
  • A member of one of the 34 countries that are entitled to receive a visa on arrival in the UAE
