Visit Visas
Visit Visas
A visit visa is required by those who wish to visit the United Arab Emirates. A visit visa entry permit allows a person to enter the country and has a validity of 60 days from the date of issue. If the person fails to enter the country within this period, a new visit visa application has to be submitted upon entry into the country. There are three types of visit visa available:
Short-term
Visitor can stay for thirty (30) days from the date of arrival into the country. This visit visa is not renewable.
Long-term
Visitor can stay for ninety (90) days from the date of arrival into the country. This visit visa is not renewable.
Multiple entry
Visit visa is valid for 6 months and the applicant must exit the country within 14 days after arrival. Furthermore, the applicant must initially enter the country on a single entry visit visa and apply for multiple entry visit visa within 5 days of arrival.
Visit visa holders should exit the UAE before or on the expiry date of their visa to avoid incurring an overstay penalty. The penalty is applicable for each day the person overstays in the country.
Upon exiting the UAE the visitor should stay thirty (30) days outside the country before re-applying for a new visit visa.
The categories given below identify whether an individual requires a visit visa before arrival or whether a visit visa can be issued to them at the airport or entry point.
